Service Description

This service is available in the UK and mainland Europe. There is no milage/travel charge within the majority of the UK. We undertake pre-purchase surveys on motor and sailing vessels constructed of glass/fibre reinforced plastic (g.r.p/f.r.p), steel, aluminium and wood. We undertake surveys on new, used, modern and historic vessels. All inspections are undertaken by experienced surveyors with prior commercial maritime service. A comprehensive inspection of the vessel is undertaken whilst the vessel is afloat and ashore. Ultra sonic thickness testing of the vessel is undertaken on steel and aluminium vessels. Moisture meter readings of a g.r.p/f.r.p hull are provided, wherever circumstances allow. Client attendance encouraged towards the final stages of the inspection, whilst the vessel is ashore, for discussion, defect identification purposes. Should the client be unable to attend we make contact by telephone following the inspection. A comprehensive written report is provided. The report contains detailed recommendations, following the inspection. Relevant photographic evidence is included within the report. Client support is provided.
